Mounting Methods Make Markers Tamper-proof and Theft-resistant
Hackettstown, NJ—Almetek Industries, a leading manufacturer of storm drain markers, signs and ID marking systems, offers two new innovative (patent pending) installation options for storm drain makers that can be used in conjunction with the company’s stainless steel storm drain markers. Both methods make it difficult for the markers to be tampered with, removed or stolen. Almetek even promises to replace any stolen markers FREE of charge.
The first method involves drilling a hole into the mounting surface and then using a drive rivet or bolt and anchor system, inserted through the center of the marker, to securely fasten it.
The second method uses a four-inch carbide hole bit. The bit is used to drill 1/8” deep into cement, asphalt, concrete or metal. The marker is placed into this ring and then a drive rivet or anchor and bolt is used to securely mount the marker. Adhesive can also be used in either mounting method to further secure the marker.
Almetek has a full line of storm drain markers including: stencils, 3-D engraved UV-stabilized high-density polyethylene, screen-printed, pressure-sensitive vinyl, 3-D embossed metals in natural aluminum, brass, stainless steel, 3M reflective colors, polyurethane domed and tiles (metal or ceramic).

Almetek® Offers Virtually Indestructible Sign Blanks
Hackettstown, NJ—Almetek Industries, the manufacturer of E-Z Tags® and the TRIDENT™ collection, announces the availability of 3-D engraving blanks for the trade.
Made of a 3-color UV-stabilized, high-density marine grade polyethylene, these sign blanks form a rich 3-dimensional three-color sign when the middle and bottom colors are exposed by engraving. The blanks are easily customized with a customer’s logo and copy or any other message and finished signs will not rust, fade, crack or peel. Signs are available in 7”x11”, 10”x14”, or 14”x20”.
Three choices are available: 1) Almetek can engrave the entire sign, 2) engrave a header in the sign or 3) provide a blank with radius corners and four holes. Full sheets (25”x50”) are also available.
Almetek is also offering a starter kit containing one fully engraved sign in each size for displaying plus ten 7”x11”, four 10”x14” and four 14”x20”.

Prismatic Finish Added to Almetek’s Storm Drain Marker Product Line

The prismatic spin finish, available in 16-gauge natural stainless steel and brass offers an attractive high gloss polish finish on a durable 3-D embossed marker. The baked enamel colors, offered in conjunction with the prismatic spin finish on stainless steel or brass, provide a color contrast background for higher visibility.
The prismatic finish comes with a 30-year warranty that the markers will remain legible. Each storm drain marker features the phrase “No Dumping” and warns where the drain leads. Stock circular designs and copy are available. Custom shapes, sizes and artwork are also available.
