Almetek Offers New Storm Drain Marker Design
& Installation (Patent Pending)
Almetek Industries now offers a newly designed stainless steel storm drain marker (patent pending). The embossed markers are made out of stainless steel, brass or aluminum and feature a unique curved edge for theft-resistant, sub-surface installation.
Almetek also offers two new innovative (patent pending) installation options that can be used in conjunction with the company’s metal storm drain markers. Both methods make it difficult for the markers to be tampered with, removed or stolen. Almetek even promises to replace any stolen markers FREE of charge.
The first method involves drilling a hole into the mounting surface and then using a drive rivet or bolt and anchor system, inserted through the center of the marker, to securely fasten it.
The second method uses a four-inch carbide hole bit. The bit is used to drill 1/8” deep into cement, asphalt, concrete or metal. The marker is placed into this ring and then a drive rivet or anchor and bolt is used to securely mount the marker. Adhesive can also be used in either mounting method to further secure the marker.

Independent Laboratory Testing Confirms Trident's Durability
Specialists in commercial product testing recently performed a series of test on Almetek's line of co- and tri-extruded UVHDPE signs. The signs were subjected to salt spray, vibration, impact (high, ambient and low temperatures) and solar radiation testing. The salt fog test was performed in accordance with ASTM B117 and found no evidence of visible damage or wear. The vibration test subjected the signs to hours of vibration
and found no visible signs of cracking. The solar radiation test was performed in accordance with MIL-STD-810E and on completion found that there was not any color fading. The impact test, which subjected the signs to impact at cold, ambient and hot temperatures showed no indication of damage to the signs.
